What is "Jack's Place"? "Jack's Place" began as an experimental website project in 2005 that chronicled the life of an American Robin (Jack) who had a mostly white head. I wanted to share the story of this bird - at the time the website was the best way to do so in pictures, videos, and words. The robin's name "Jack" was given to him in memory of a neighbour with the same name who had recently passed away. I was further inspired to complete this version of "Jack's Place" after the passing of yet another "Jack" in 2011 - this time, a political figure. And now "Jack's Place" has been revived in the form of an iPhone App. I'm hoping the App is well-received. Did I mention that this version of "Jack's Place" app is totally FREE? No ads, no gimmicks, just free, no kidding! |
